Navigator Recruiting client is a local full-service CPA firm of about 30 employees and is seeking an Audit Senior to work with a variety of clients in its Lakewood office. The ideal candidate is one who has some prior public accounting audit experience. This firm offers offer flexible hours, full insurance benefits and substantial growth opportunities in a fast-paced work setting.

Duties include:
  • Analyze client accounting records to determine appropriate audit approach and prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures to effectively reflect the clients’ operations
  • Draft and review audit workpapers to ensure high quality documentation
  • Propose necessary and thoughtful audit adjustments by possessing a strong understanding of debits and credits
  • Strong customer service skills and communications skills. Able to present a positive and professional image of the firm with clients and within the team
  • Detailed oriented. Capable of presenting high quality deliverables such as proposals, engagement letter, audit opinion letter, representation letter, financial reports and other contracts
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously
  • Experience with audit project management and demonstrated ability of achieving satisfying chargeability and realization goals
  • Must have workpaper review experience and ability to draft consolidating financial statements
  • Team player and result driven. Possess a complete understanding of firm policies, procedures and priorities
  • Overtime hours are required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2-7 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting
  • CPA or CPA candidate is required
  • Knowledgeable of audit methodologies and audit processes from planning through fieldwork utilizing risk assessment approach
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit-related software.
  • Tax return experience is helpful
  • Experience with using audit applications, such as Engagement is preferable
