Company Information
Navigator Recruiting is engaged in a search for a Senior Tax Accountant for a growing full-service 12-employee CPA firm in a small mountain town (population: 10,000, elevation: 7,500 ft.) in Southwestern Colorado. The firm has been providing tax, accounting and planning services to individuals, businesses, governmental and not-for-profit entities for decades and has an excellent reputation. The firm does a fair amount of multi-state work and many clients are in the oil and gas, real estate and ranching industries. There are opportunities for an ambitious, hardworking and entrepreneurial person to excel. One of three partners is retiring in October and the firm would be open to hiring someone who may have an interest in being a partner one day (but that's not a requirement). The firm is virtually paperless and offers clients with an efficient and convenient means of communication and data transfer which is highly sophisticated. The company offers good benefits and pays a $300/month allowance toward a medical premium (on top of the salary). The company also offers vacation and in addition to this, the firm offers additional days off as it is closed from 12/24 – 1/2 every year, and works 36 hour weeks from 5/1 – 12/23. The firm also offers standard holidays, sick time, CPE, and an opportunity to bank overtime hours. (OT hours are usually minimal, however, but could be used for extra personal days or doctor’s appointments, etc.)
