Sixty to seventy percent (60-70%) of the Accounting Manager’s time will be spent managing the department and working with staff to help them continue to improve and improving processes, procedures and creating efficiencies. Thirty to forty percent (30-40%) of the Accounting Manager’s time will be spent preparing and analyzing accrual basis financial statements and other hands-on accounting/finance-related work. Hours for this role will be mostly 40-45 hours/week year-round. However, during the busiest month (January) and for some weeks in April, July and October, hours could be in the 50-55 hours/week range.

Benefits include an understanding and supportive management team, tenured employees who enjoy working for this company, a competitive salary, a bonus (based on company and individual performance), a retirement plan, health/dental/vision insurance, flexible spending account, self-managed PTO (generally, at this level, 4-5 weeks of PTO is customary), participation in the experienced-based employee recognition program, continuing education and an employee assistance program. The company is a strong believer in giving employees the resources to expand certifications and technical skills and offer incentives for achieving designations/certifications that will bring value to the company. The office also closes at noon every Friday in June and July so employees can enjoy longer summer weekends. (This time off does not count towards PTO.) The firm is committed to finding the right candidate and will offer relocation assistance as well. This role must be done from Cheyenne, WY and while there is some flexibility, this is mainly an in-office role.
