Responsibilities
The Audit Senior will work with the audit team to plan engagement objectives and audit strategy. The Audit Senior will interact with members of the team at all levels and will also interact with client personnel.
- Mentor, supervise and train staff through counsel, guidance and coaching; evaluate performance and participate in individuals’ performance appraisal process
- Cultivate effective relationships with clients to provide superior client service
- Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client’s operations, processes, and business objectives
- Lead client audit, review, and compilation engagements, including planning, executing, directing and completing financial audits
- Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement presentation
Personal & Professional Development
- Diligently working towards CPA licensure if not already licensed
- Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally
- Support Firm initiatives
- Work with Partners to identify and maintain strategic goals of the department and firm
- Willingness to travel
Requirements
- Attained Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university
- One to four years related public accounting audit experience and / or training
- Some audit experience with clients in cryptocurrency, alternative investments or mortgage is required
- Ability to show strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Solid understanding of industry specific audit issues
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
