Navigator Recruiting client is a local fast-growing progressive Boulder, CO CPA firm of 55 full-time staff. The partners are concerned for employees' well-being and the office is a fun place to come to work every day. The firm was also set up on Zoom before COVID and the firm is accustomed to having employees working mostly remotely or in a hybrid arrangement. There are challenging audit clients in a variety of industries to work with. The firm offers an excellent growth opportunity and a complete benefits package, including major medical health coverage, a 401k with a 3% match, 160 hours of PTO and a bonus.

AUDIT MANAGER DESCRIPTION:
This firm is seeking an Audit Manager who has an entrepreneurial spirit and knows how to get things done. The firm needs someone who will be laser focused on execution for an optimized result. This person must be willing to consult internally and externally to solve problems and be motivated to think outside the box to find solutions. It is critical to be able to work well in a team environment and to be able to give and receive coaching. The Audit Manager must not just enjoy, but love interacting with clients and team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee multiple client engagements in a wide variety of industries with the ability to manage to budget
• Understand the audit client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments
• Identify performance improvement opportunities for clients
• Manage and supervise the execution of external audit engagements
• Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals
• Stay informed of general business and economic developments and their impact to the audit client
• Work with management to help ensure the proper positioning of the audit staff and assist with the career development of team members
• Guide team members to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the assurance team
• Monitor the assurance team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed
• Collaborate with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls
• Generate new audit business opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5-7 years of recent audit experience within a public accounting firm
• CPA certification
• BA or higher degree in accounting, finance or related field from an accredited college/university
• Significant supervisory experience (3+ years)
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Superb project management skills
• Exceptional analytical, technical, and auditing skills
