Growing Navigator Recruiting client headquartered in the Denver, CO area specializes in providing accounting services for international companies with U.S. subsidiaries. This flexible firm is seeking someone who'd like to work part-time (30 hours/week, 7:30 am - 3 pm Mon. - Thu.) from home, remotely, completing financial statements for various international clients with U.S. subsidiaries. NOTE: The owner could also hire someone who wishes to only work 20 hours/week. If the hired individual would one day (years from now), want to work 40 hours/week, that would be possible. The owner is a CPA who has several years' experience in tax and accounting in public accounting, CFO and financial management experience in corporate finance and experience in finance with a cloud-based software company. The company offers a base salary and also offers benefits including a monthly stipend tof 5% of wages which the employee could choose to put toward a health insurance plan of the employee's choosing, 2 weeks' vacation, a 401k w/ a 4% match, a yearly bonus, challenging work and a lot of flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining real-time financials.
- Process incoming invoices and authorizations, make payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Allocate payments received.
- Sales and use tax preparation.
- Payroll using an outsourced payroll partner platform.
- Fixed Assets.
- Orders, billing and accounts Receivable.
- Process and record expense Reimbursements.
- Project accounting.
- Workflow.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Prepares monthly account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts which includes reviewing, investigating, and correcting errors or inconsistencies in these accounts.
- Direct involvement in month-end close process including preparation of financial statements
- Demonstrated understanding of complex accounting concepts and apply them to client situations
- Implement new clients, which includes setting up processes and performing books catch-up and/or clean-up work
Requirements:
- A BA/BS degree in Accounting is required.
- An advanced degree (Master's in Accounting, MBA, etc.) is preferred.
- A CPA is preferred.
- 2-5 years of accounting outsourcing experience with a public accounting firm or previous controller/multi-entity accounting experience.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proficiency using QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
- Proficiencyusing NetSuite, MS Business Central or Xledger is helpful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
